depo shot reviews please??

I got the depo shot a week ago due to having pelvic pain and the doctor said it would help while i wait for a scan for pelvic congestion but I started to cry since I knew some people who gained so much weight. anyone had it and what symtoms did you have?

I have been on it for almost two years now! Absolutely no side effects and haven’t had my period since I started it, I would totally recommend it but only after being on the pill because if you’ve had side effects from the pill, chances are you will with the shot too.

I loved depo... Only side effect i had was no period, which is completely normal, and happens to most women with depo... Otherwise I had no effects from it

I have been on depo two years and had no issues. I’m currently not taking it but when I was I didn’t have any issues. Hope this helps.

I never gained any weight or had issues with my skin or moods on depo. I loved not having a period (I was on it for about 6 months) but after I decided to stop getting the shot, i had the longest, most awful and heavy period ever (lasting 3 months). It was just horrible.

I gained weight despite being a member of weight watchers 
I got diagnosed with depression and given antidepressants 
I was always hungry 
I was always tired and could fall asleep anywhere (I have never been like that so it was quiet concerning) 
My skin got worse and really greasy
I was really snappy for no reason 
I lost my sex drive (luckily I’m long term single)
The only good thing was i had no periods... I stopped after 2 shots, I didn’t get my 3rd one that was due Christmas time. I bled for 3 weeks with awful cramps and I haven’t have a period since then... i had some light bleeding last month but I don’t class it as a period. Im definitely not pregnant. Im also struggling to lose the weight.

I’m on the depo. I’ve been on it for 6 months now, I gained like 5 pounds. I’ve had a normal period each month up until this month. It hasn’t really gave me any problems honestly.

the whole getting pregnant on it would be scary. I was on the pill for almost 3 yrs and before that it took us almost 3 yrs to get my daughter so I'm not too crazy worried we will get pregnant that easy

I didn’t have my period at all but I had a lot of spotting and I ended up gaining a lot of weight on over the 2 years I was on it.
