Mono-Di - identical ?

Question

So at my last Dr appointment after we found out it was twins , he told me they were mono-di but would be fraternal... He didn't see the ultrasound pic, just got the report from the ultrasound tech . My impression was that mono di were identical :), they are in different sacs, but are sharing a placenta ... Thoughts ?

Here it is! So yeah...mono-di and mono-mono always come from just one egg, meaning they HAVE to be identical, but di-di are the ones they can't be certain about without a test if they are the same gender. :)

I'm having mono-di and they are identical. My ultrasound looks like yours. They share a gestational sack and each are in there own amino sack with a very thin dividing membrane and share a placenta. 😉

These are for sure mo/di and they are always identical!!! It comes from one egg!

Yeah...I'm no expert but mono-di twins are identical. If anything you can have identical twins that are di-di, because if the egg split early enough (I think before 3 days) then they can develop their own placenta and are in their own sacs. But I'm like 99% sure mono-di are always identical. I am having mono-di girls and have something on my Pinterest board...let me take a screenshot and I'll post it in a sec :D
