Do you get offended when people ask if its your first baby?

I've had two miscarriages and most of my family know's this. Though I had some random woman ask if this was my first baby. I always just say its my rainbow baby and leave it unless they ask what that means. But honestly why do people ask this?? Its so hard for me to answer, especially when I have to explain and people get really awkward about it. Why does it matter if its my first or not? Why is it anyone's business anyway?

I don't get offended because most people are trying to be nice and are genuinely excited for me. I hate to be mad or angry at them when they have good intentions. But that is a hard question.

I don't get offended. I say it's my second and my other one is an angel. 😊 They don't mean any harm people are just trying to engage in conversation.

I don’t know if offended is the word I’d use, but it does make me uncomfortable when people (particularly strangers) ask this, and I would rather they didn’t! My firstborn was stillborn last year, and I am currently pregnant with my second child. When people ask if I am pregnant with my first, I say no, this is my second. (Or if I am really not in the mood to talk, I just say no!) This often leads to follow on questions, which can sometimes result in “having to” (from my perspective) share that my daughter was stillborn. I know some moms choose to respond that their current pregnancy is their first child if they do not have living children, and that’s a completely valid (and personal choice), but I prefer to include my daughter even when it results in an awkward conversation.
Really I would prefer if strangers and acquaintances wouldn’t ask pregnancy related questions at all. It’s none of their business!

Not at all, and I had a few miscarriages too. I don’t mention that technically it’s my 8th. I’m actually more annoyed when I’m at the store and they ask “are they all yours?” I should start answering like the funny poster going around on fb “no, I found the extra couple ones in the parking lot and thought, why not?” Lol (I have 3 kiddos-9,7,3 and one on the way, plus 4 miscarriages).

I tend to say this is my third pregnancy and my daughter is about to be 2 to people I know, but I'm very open about my 14W miscarriage. For total strangers I say this is baby number 2.

uh .. no .
I say I have two older kids. When in reality this is my 5th pregnancy one ending at 6 months. I dont talk about my son to strangers because they dont need to know my life farther than what they see. 
So this is always my 3rd baby when anyone I dont know asks

ice veen very moody.. blaming hormones. I am only 5 weeks so when we went for Mother's day brunch and my husband's aunt says "You know everyone's ready for you guys to have a baby right?" it took all my energy to bite my tongue and NOT respond with, "Actually we have been trying and miscarried at 5 weeks in Feb. Kind of there again and trying to hold onto little rainbow bean so I'd appreciate it if you stopped stressing me out. We know and we're working on it." Like you only the immediate family knows but they have been super supportive. 
As my sister pointed out its not like people are trying to be mean. They just care and end up being really insensitive in the process.

If you get offended dont tell them reasoning. Its just as simple as asking the question, you dont need to answer. Especially if its not their business, dont feel obligated to tell anybody if you dont want to... And than you wont feel some type of way after
