Is psychology a useless degree?

I’m thinking about becoming a school psychologist. However, I keep hearing that a psychology degree is useless.
My other option is Human Resources. Which sounds better to you?

hey! psych major here. def not useless. to become a school psychologist you will need a bachelors and masters degree. however, even just with a psychology bachelors you can go into loads of other specializations. getting in is hard tho, depending where you live. but no, not useless, haven’t heard that one tbh.

Psych major here! I haven’t heard that it’s a useless degree so that’s a new one 🤔 I definitely think psych classes have been the most eye opening classes I’ve taken. If you’re passionate about psychology and want to be a psychologist then I say go for it!

I'm also majoring in Psych. Psych is one of the absolute most needed things! So much of human health relies on Psych. However, an associates or bachelors generally isnt enough for psych, and that's why people say it's useless. You (usually) have to go much further than that in your schooling in Psych to get anywhere job wise with it. But it's a very, very important field. One of the most important.

I am majoring in psychology. You get more job opportunities with a Master's than with just a bachelor's. It is definitely not useless though.
