When do you announce it?

When do you announce you're pregnant? It's hard enough to get past 5 weeks,and then you have to make it past 13. And even then something can happen from 13 until birth...after a miscarriage I am told not to be excited but at what point am I supposed to? I can't just not be excited because you never know what will happen. I feel like if I don't become excited then it means I think less of this one than my last. :/

Whoever told you not to be excited is wrong! You can be excited and cautious at the same time! I've had multiple miscarriages, and this time I was just as excited and of course a lot nervous. We made it past the point of our previous losses and we heard a heartbeat. I've had a ton of symptoms this time so we decided to tell our parents at 9 weeks, and now at 10, things are still looking good! I wish you luck with your pregnancy, but don't let a loss keep you from enjoying this time.

After 2 miscarriages, one at 16 weeks we decided to wait until 9 weeks when we told our parents and then waited until the 12 weeks scan until we told the rest of the close family. I also told work at 12 weeks just so they were aware

We had an ectopic last year, and since it was our first pregnancy, we had already told out families. Then, we got pregnant again in December. We decided to wait to tel them until after our 8 week appointment. Unfortunately, we only made it to 5w2d and we miscarried. It was really hard to tell the family that not only were we pregnant, but losing it. We just got our BFP and are only telling family early because they will be here during our 9th week. I am still excited, and can't wait to tell everyone! Our plan is to announce to the rest of our friends once we get to 12 weeks. I think it's important to have some tell of support system in place, especially if something happens. Be excited, and tell whoever you want! 😍😍

I had a miscarriage in December. When I found out I was pregnant again I let my family know. I let them know because I needed their support (especially if something happened again). I didn't plan on telling the world until after 12 weeks. Unfortunately I had to let work know around 9 weeks because they found a subchronic hemorrhage at my 8 week ultrasound. Which meant me not being able to do some of the things required at work. And since I let my coworkers and boss know...I might as well let everyone know (it's just going to get out anyway). I was/am still upset that I couldn't let people know when I wanted them to know.. Fortunately my pregnancy is going great.
