Its not always horrible

Torrie

So I have 4 beautiful children and with all 4 I had fairly easy and fast labors. I hear horror stories all the time of moms in labor for hours and hours and wanted to share my experiences so ftms know its not always bad. With all 4 from start to finish was only about 1 1/2 - 3 hours or less and 1-3 pushes. With my first born my water broke at exactly 2am contractions started and he was born after 2 pushes at 3:47am all the nurses and drs were stunned and couldnt believe it was my 1st child. With my 2nd I went to my last appointment and found out I was 5cm dilated at 3:45pm with no contractions or pain. My husband and I left went to lunch and did some shopping before going back to the hospital around 7pm still no contractions or pain and I was 6cm dilated they went ahead and admitted me because of how fast my 1st labor was and we live about 35 mins from the hospital. At 8pm I was 8cm dilated still no pain or contractions so they broke

my water and the contractions started at 8:15. She was born at 9:38pm with 3 pushes. With my 3rd I was having a little bit of pelvic pain at work around 1045pm so I had my husband pick me up at 11pm when I got off and take me to the hospital No contractions and I wasn't dilated at all they said it was round ligament pain. Got home around 1:45am and went to bed. At 4:30 am I started feeling very mild contractions so I got my husband up and we went back to the hospital. Got there at 6am and got admitted I was 2cm dilated and having contractions that the monitors were barley picking up. They had me walk the halls for 2 hours and checked me again I was 4cm dilated still mild contractions. Walked the halls another 2 hours and checked again at 10am and I was 7cm dilated still only mild contractions. At 11am my water broke and the hard contractions started. He was born after 1 push at 12:03pm.With my last I started having contractions at 10pm got checked in to the hospital at 10:23pm at 6cm dialted. My water broke at 12:20pm and he was born at 1:54am after 2 pushes.
