When should you start baby shopping

I'm a little anxious to work on the baby's room n get things all pretty with the basic things but I don't kno if it's too early to start shopping yet. I'm 18+5

Do u know what the baby is yet? If not you can buy the simple things like diapers, wipes, bottles, baby washes and lotions and things like that. Also anything gender neutral you can find. This is my fourth baby so we are not having a baby shower unless someone surprises us with one so I have been buying a few things every week. I know what I'm having now I'm 19 weeks so now I can start buying the big stuff

I'm 22 weeks and I have lots of baby stuff already !! It all depends what u feel comfortable to do

We bought a few things: crib mattress, some bottles and nipples, and our stroller and car seat. I feel like things they are gender neutral are pretty safe and I also think if you have a baby shower, people are more likely to buy you the small stuff.

We started right away. I'm 17weeks 2days and so far we have:

A bunch of different size disposables

We wanted to make sure we are really prepared this time, as with my first I was told to wait until after my babyshower. But, I'll be honest, that's the worst advice anyone could give. Some people do get really lucky and are only left with a few things to get afterwards, but that's not always the case. Besides, a babyshower isn't all about the gifts but the celebration a of a new beautiful life. Everyone ia different though, so start when you feel ready. For us it just made sense to start early so it's not so expensive on the end. Everything we got we got on sale. Except the crib, that was given to us.

I've got everything now. I started around 10 weeks, 18.4 now. I did get a lot at garage sales and consignment shops so I just happen to be in the season and when I found something good I just bought. Crib, mattress, car seat, and stroller are new though

I've started buying bits and bob like baby grows and sleep suits and bibs and stuff. Am having a winter baby so waiting till then and I'm also having a baby shower so I will get more things in the winter and in the uk it's pretty cold so it a waste of time buying clothes just now and will buy the nursery set and pram prob between Sep and October. All the savings is there for her but would rather wait till after 30weeks am almost 20weeks just now.
