circumcision??

my son goes to his 2 week appointment on Monday. we were going to do his circumcision then. but now I'm second guessing having it done. is it hard to keep an un circumcised clean? 
another reason why I'm second guessing is because it's going to cost $300. that's just too much money.😖

Cost should never weigh into an important medical decision. I had my son circumcised because I have several male family members who had to have it done as adults due to infections that happened once they were older and lost dexterity in their fingers so they weren’t able to keep it clean. It was very unpleasant and a very common issue for the elderly. I’d rather have it done now when he can’t remember and healing is quick than when he’s 75 years old and it’s painful and memorable. He didn’t cry at all. He didn’t even wake up when they did it. And it healed in a week.

My son (3 yo) and my husband are both not circumcised. It’s not hard to keep clean.

we didnt do it to my son.. after researching the history of circumcision in the USA and why so many other countries dont do it we decided against it.. my husband and all the men in his family were natural and never had any issues at any age.. I've heard a lot of people consider it cosmetic since it really doesnt provide any health benifits for the vast majority who are left natural.. I wouldn't do it if I were you.. why cut something off that's perfectly functioning..

My husband refuses to not have our children circumcised. He has had tearing and when he was a child would get painful infections. He wishes he was circumcised.

My ex husband says he wishes he was circumcised and his son was. His son now 12 has issues keeping himself clean and my ex used to get irritated very easily. I did both my boys (neither of them his)

We have all natural men in our family and no one has ever had issues. Don’t let others scare you with the medically necessary/it’s going to get infected bit. 
Personally, I’d save that $300 for a savings fund or something else for baby. You by no means NEED to have your baby circumcised. It’s all a matter of preference.

An uncircumcised infant penis is easier to clean. You wipe it like a finger. There's literally nothing special to be done.

My son was circumcised when he was born but the skin grew back so we had to take him to a urologist and he had day surgery....even though it was not the best experience I would recommend it.

Don’t let cost be an issue.. if you were gonna get it done, then get it done! Better now than to wait down the road. Mine had his done the day after he was born and he was healed in 2 weeks- just keep it covered with vaseline and it’s all good!
