progesterone shots?!

Got the call from my doctor today that we would be starting progesterone shots and I am terrified🙈 with my first I had her 5 weeks early which is why they decided to do it this time.. I'm 18 weeks and 2 days and will get them until I'm 36 weeks.. is there anybody else that is also getting them?! I am terrified of needles and looking for a little reassurance.💜

I’m getting Makena progesterone shots once a week. I heard horror stories about them but they aren’t AS bad as I expected. It’s like a bruise, and itchy but we do a lot
Of crazy things for our little ones. My 1st was 6 weeks early and I have lupus so my dr says it’s necessary. I’m having a skin reaction just at the injection site but that’s improving too so we are just treating it was topical Benadryl. Keep us posted.

I’m on progesterone and oil mix. Have been since 5 weeks will be till 37 weeks I do 200 mg 2x a week but I have low progesterone I test every 2 weeks without them it drops . It’s not the best of fun but necessary

yes I am taking mekena started at 16 weeks. my daughter was born 6 weeks early so they are trying to avoid it.  are they doing the auto injector or the serum you mix?
