Breech baby at 36 weeks, advice?

Question

Had an ultrasound today that indicated baby was breech. Was talked to about a version to try to manually flip the baby, has anyone experienced this? Was it successful?  
I am also trying to wrap my head around a scheduled c section. I know it happens all the time but I am really sad about missing the whole labor experience ( even though it's painful). Just not what I expected. I know I should be thankful baby is healthy and I am. Just sorta grieving my picture of what I thought my birth plan would be like.

Also 36 weeks with breech baby (more transverse I guess). I’m going to the chiro twice a week to try to give baby as much space as possible to move. I also do different exercises from spinningbabies. Our midwife and chiro have hopes it’ll move, but the MDs and NPs are less optimistic. I can’t have an epidural, so if I need a section, I’ll be under general anesthesia. The idea of being unconscious for the birth of my child (and likely it’s first 6-8 hours of life) makes me quite upset.

First time mom?  We all learn that kids throw us curve balls all the time. This is just the first of many. Glad you’re both healthy. 
This is my 4th, and might be my first c section due to transverse lie. We will see!

I’m in the same boat lady. C section is scheduled for June 4th. I agree missing out on labor is weighing on me! But he won’t budge and my doctor wouldn’t do the version because she says it can put baby in distress and I have a weird cord attachment so not risking it.

Highly recommend seeing a chiropractor that specializes in prenatal before getting an ECV. Sometimes babies are breech because of how our pelvic area is aligned. they can’t comfortable fit head down if our hips are out of alignment. It worked for my first baby. He was breech at 36. Went to see Chiro and he flipped with in two days.

I just got home from my 36 week ultrasound appointment and am in the same situation as you. I was very surprised to find out that my little girl is head up butt down. Hoping for her to flip by my appointment next week.

My baby is breech (butt down) since beginning of April. I tried exercises (breech tilt and such) to turn it, but no success. i'm now past 37 weeks, so I was scheduled for ECV today. 
Ultrasound showed good conditions (small baby, enough water, umbilical cord not in the way) so the doctor went ahead, with my permission of course, and tried to turn it. Sadly he didn't succeed, the little bugger is still breech. :)
I do think it was worth to try ECV. if it would have succeeded i would have a chance at vaginal birth... sadly, it's probably cesarian for me now :)
