D&C tomorrow ..what to expect?

The very dreaded day has come ,what should I expect ? Any recommendations I’m so scared right now ,and nervous 😞 but most of all sad

They’ll put you under anesthesia and you might be a little out of it for a while after. My husband told me I asked him about 5 times how long he’d been in the room when I woke up, and then I requested Wendy’s and almost cried because I wanted it. Depending on how far along you were there will be bleeding and possibly cramping. Don’t plan anything else for that day, and depending on what time your scheduled for don’t schedule anything for the next day if you can help it. I slept a lot the day of mine (mine was first thing in the morning). Be sure not to eat or drink after midnight the night before. Um.... not sure I can think of anything else, but if you have specified questions I’ll try to answer them. I hope it goes well (or at least as well as it can, all things considered). Losing your little is so hard, but eventually you get back to normal. Even then there’s still bad days. You really just have to keep going.

Did they say it was going to be under general anesthesia? Mine was in the office under local anesthesia and oral medication.

First post- very true. I also made sure I had someone there that would make me feel a little better. I brought my mom- my husband was working and I also just wanted to be with my mom that day as it was difficult and she also went through a miscarriage years and years ago. 
Having her made me feel a little better, she held my hand before going in and was right there when I woke up.
I’m sorry for your loss. After our d&c; my husband and I wanted to try again but the doctor suggested wait two weeks after surgery (of course that’s when I ovulated) a few weeks later I got my AF and then ovulated and now we’re at a TWW.
It’s a crappy feeling when you wake up and know you no longer have your baby in your belly but time will start to heal. For me it was a physical that was easy to overcome it was the mental- allow yourself to cry and be sad but also allow yourself to smile and be happy when there’s a time to be.
