My nipt test showed positive for turners syndrome. I met with a specialist and genetic counselor today and got some good information about the test itself. it's 94% accurate and 9 times out of 10 there is a false positive for turners and many other problems! it was accurate for me once but today it wasn't. my baby is 99% most likely completely normal on ultrasound at 13 and a half weeks, unlike what my ob told me. so please if you get a positive on anything see a specialist without freaking yourself out first and paying a bunch of money for the test. We are confirming with amniocentesis in 3 weeks. They tell you it's the best test out there but it's not. different companies have different percentages for accuracy. if anyone would like more information please comment or message me.
