Where do you place your car seat? I had mine on passenger side but my friend said should be in middle?? 3 month old

The safest place is where you get the best install! Some vehicles don't even allow for a middle seat install. Just relax. If the seat is installed correctly and baby is strapped in properly then it'll function how it's meant to.

Our middle seat isn't ideal for the car seat base, so it's on the driver's side. 
I guess there have been studies indicating the driver will instinctively protect their side of the car more, given as much a choice as one could have in a collision. 
Plus, if someone is about to rear-end your car, they will generally swerve toward the right shoulder to avoid oncoming traffic as well, which means the passenger side will take the impact.

I took a carseat training through the county i work for. They said middle is the  safest, if possible, due to side impact.

Middle is safest. However mine is on the drivers side because the middle seat doesn’t allow for proper car seat attachment. If your car allows for proper middle seat attachment, always place car seat there. Otherwise use your judgment or take to a place that offers car seat help.

If your middle seat has the anchors then that’s the safest. If only the sides have anchors (like my car) then I would do that. 
I do driver side because of the anchors and because I have 2 other kids who get dropped off at school and activities a lot and I feel safer for them to get out on the curb versus the street.

I have to have mine on the drivers side, I take and pick up my other 2 kids to school everyday and they have to get in and out of the passenger side.
