April
Induction day was May 15 I came in at 8 o’clock in the morning I was GBS positive so in order to start induction they had to put me on penicillin first. The doctor used Cytotec inserted in. Waited for about an hour and after my penicillin Waze in I got to walk around for two hours started feeling some cramps went back to my room doctor hooked up another bag of penicillin inserted another Cytotec and kept me on the monitor because I was having contractions. About 5 PM doctor came in and checked me I went from 25% effaced when I came in completely closed him way high up and zero dilation to about a 2 1/2 to 3 to 50% effaced. At that point the doctor decided to start Pitocin was on the Pitocin for about two hours and made it to a four at 70% effaced dr. had said she wanted to break my water but since I had bad experiences with that before I asked to wait for my epidural. After two bags of fluid I received an epidural. 40 minutes after receiving epidural my doctor came in and checked me and I was dilated to a 6 1/2 and a hunter percent effaced at that point the doctor decided not to break my water and to let it break on its own saying that it would be between an eight and nine when it did break she went home to take care of her kids and said that she would be back in about 45 minutes after she left I felt a pop and I was soaked my water had broken when the nurse came in and checked me I was at an 8 1/2 dilation the nurse started setting up for the baby delivery not knowing that it was as close as it was after my water broke the pressure was so intense I couldn’t believe it I never experienced this with my other two I kept thinking I want to let them know but I was afraid you because I was afraid they were just going to tell me I was still sitting at the 8 1/2 so I waited after he got so intense I couldn’t take it anymore and it was actually starting to scare me LOL my doctor walked in and said let’s check it when I open my legs she said oh my gosh I see here it was not mine. She said let’s try a couple of practice pushes and see where were at I barely gave her a question she said stop we’re about to have a baby right now and they started clearing up she dropped on the bed and I pushed 2 1/2 pushes and they were not very strong pushers and he was out. They estimated him at 8 1/2 pounds he was only six they did that with all my children I make small babies thankfully. I barely tour in only needed one stitch thanks to her allowing me to stop pushing for a second and letting his head stretch me and not cutting me like all the previous ones. Due to a postpartum hemorrhage with my first child 11 years ago she decided to take the precautions and immediately put Cytotec back inside me to clean my uterus down by her doing that I barely bled except for the normal amount I am very thankful to God for being with me through all of this I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it I have suffered with heart palpitations and high heart rate this entire pregnancy to the point where I couldn’t do anything and I honestly thought that I would not get to be here to see my son I thought my heart would get out and it did not so far my heart rate has been very well back to normal. I don’t know if it will continue to stay that way but the point is is that all I need to do is trust in the Lord and also trust my doctor I went through several doctors because I did not have a good feeling until I found her and she was with me every step of the way keeping me calm and keeping me sane.
