Hiking carrier and all terrain stroller

I live in Michigan and in a few weeks I'm taking my son to the Upper Peninsula and going sight seeing and hiking. Just wondering what the best carriers and strollers I can get would be. Any one have suggestions? My kiddos a year old and 22lbs but on the taller side!
