Does everyone get a blood glucose test?

All I’ve been seeing are horror stories I’m 11+4 and I have my 12 week apt Monday.

What kind of horror stories? Lol that the drink is gross and will make you feel sick? That’s the extent of it and its not nearly as bad as some women make it out to be. There are way worse things during pregnancy (you know, labor..)

its not too bad. the drink is gross but that's about it. failed the one hour so had to do the 3 hour test today.

I had it yesterday and the only horror was the one hour wait cause it felt like I was waiting forever 😌

It’s not that bad. My ob wanted me to do it early because I’m overweight, so I did it at like 14 weeks but my morning sickness was still bad so I threw it up. I got the lemon lime one and it was like sprite syrup. They drew my A1C and checked it, it was fine so they aren’t too worried and I’ll try it again at 28 weeks. Everyone does it 🤷🏻‍♀️ just gotta deal with it

My one hour was a piece of cake. My fruit punch was actually pretty damn delicious! Afterwards my husband took me to Wafflehouse cuz I was starving. I had passed the test, and honestly I would take it again if I got another fruit punch drink, lol.

Yes, I had to have it done when I was pregnant and the only “horror” part of it is just that the drink is awful. I’ve got a crazy sweet tooth but that was just too much. It was like drinking straight orange syrup.

I've done it with both pregnancies. It's really not that bad. Ask for the two hour test instead of the one hour screen. The two hour is diagnostic and if you fail that then you'll be diagnosed with GD. If you fail the one hour (and a lot of people do) you'll have to go back for a 2 or 3 hour test.

It’s honestly nothing to get worried about. I didn’t even mind the drink!
