Uncontrolled hyperthyroid and just got bfp?

Hi ladies - has anyone here ended up pregnant with hyperthyroid? I had 2 early miscarriages back to back. The OB ran bloodwork and told my I have severe hyperthyroid (overactive). I have an endocrinologist appointment scheduled for next month and she told me not to get pregnant until it gets controlled. Naturally, I ended up with positive tests today at 8dpo anyway. Do I need to worry? 😞😬

The hyperthyroid could be the reason you have miscarried twice, which may be why they recommended you don’t get pregnant. Being pregnant throws off the thyroid gland even more (not in a negative way, just in a pregnancy way), so they wouldn’t be able to treat your hyperthyroidism while you’re pregnant. I would keep the appointment for now and contact your OB.

I would try to get an appointment with someone ASAP—especially if you’re wanting to keep this baby.  See what they can do so you don’t lose it
