What do you do when others are nosy and tell you to wait
My husband and I are now TTC. We’re not little kids (24&25) and we live on our own and pay all our bills and put money into savings monthly on top of slowly buying baby things so we’re not reliant on others buying it/don’t have to deplete our savings to buy the stuff in one go.
Sometimes we have older people saying “wait as long as you can for kids” whether the reason is travel, enjoying each other, or just saying that kids suck so put it off.
My husband and I adore kids. This last year we couldn’t try for medical reasons and I had the worst physical year of my life (I had to go on low dose chemo for lupus). I’ve realized that life is short, and who knows-with my condition- if later I will be well enough to pick up little kids or play with them on the ground and such. I wanna be a good mom, and I don’t think others think about the chronic illness side of things that I have to consider with everything.
EDIT: my doctor has cleared me for pregnancy and actually encouraged it. He says that this is the perfect time for pregnancy and with my condition pregnancy sometimes even helps further remission
