ok the app says I'm 4 days late regardless of the spotting in the middle of my cycle. what's it mean?

It means you're 4 days late for your expected period according to glow. Spotting in the middle of your cycle doesn't count as a period. It's quite common to have spotting mid cycle and can be ovulation spotting. If you're 4 days late you could try taking a pregnancy test. Make sure to use first morning pee though.
