TTC after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage at 12weeks back in may the baby stopped growing at 8weeks :( i had a d&c and my doctor told me to wait 3-4mths to try again to lower my chance of another miscarriage but after read lots and lots most doctors say till after your first normal cycle well.... my first normal cycle was in june it started right on track with glow and lasted my normal 5 days and was very normal so me and my husband want to start trying after my july cycle if its normal as well is that to soon?????
