Security Item?

Do your littles have a security item yet? My son doesn't seem to have anything that he's attached to quite yet. He has a small Little Giraffe blanket in his crib, along with a small teddy bear (please no lectures on empty cribs 🙄) but he doesn't seem particularly fond of either. He'll stick his hand under the blanket, but I think only to keep it warm, and he'll role around with the bear for a few moments when he wakes up from naps. My mom mentioned maybe because he is still nursing and uses my breasts as his security blanket. Hoping this isn't the case, because that will make weaning (someday) even sadder! So, have your kids picked a lovey/buddy/stuffy/blankie/etc.?

My daughter is bottle fed now, and also has no security item. She doesn’t even want a pacifier or suck her fingers anymore. I don’t think it’s something she’s going to grow into at this stage either :/ 
I, on the other hand, was the complete opposite, and so was her dad!

Kind of. My daughter has taken a liking to this little pink cat holding a blanket that she likes to hold onto after waking up and when falling asleep. She’s alllways loved tags also ☺️

My son likes clothing labels, he has a muslin to fall asleep he rubs the label on his cheek started at around 4 months. I chose to give him a muslin as we have about 10 so he isn’t attached to one specifically, makes it easier to wash and doesn’t matter if one gets lost we can just give him another one. I’ve heard that some people sleep with or put their baby’s blanket in their T-shirt for an evening so it smells like them.

Yes! My little girl has a stuffed bear/blanket thing she loves. She hugs it every night! I know it helps her get comfortable and it helps her fall and stay asleep. It took time. I just kept putting it in her crib every night. She eventually took to it! I’m hoping it will make weaning easier! 🙏🏻
