Birth Control stopping my period?

Is it normal for your period to eventually stop completely when you are on birth control, even when you take them correctly and don’t skip placebo week? Sprintec specifically.

Yes, that can happen sometimes, because one of the ways hormonal birth control works is by thinning the uterine lining. Which means u can have little to no blood to shed. When I was on a combination pill for 5 years, I went a whole year without a withdrawal bleed/“period”. That said, if u go without it for two or more months in a row, then u should talk to/see ur doctor just to make sure there aren’t other issues causing u to not bleed.
