Help?!

So I am 38+4 today and as of the 17th I was 3cm dilated and 50% effaced.

Up until now I’ve had maybe 5-6 contractions the WHOLE day. But they’ve been increasing lately. Today I’ve had a contraction every 8 or so minutes that last about 1 minute each. The thing that is driving me nuts, is that they don’t hurt. Now by “hurt”, I mean I’m easily able to talk/walk, function. It’s just REALLY tight and I guess “uncomfortable” would be the best description I have. Not pleasant by any means, but not what I was expecting contractions to feel like. Plus I’m leaking a bit, but I’m not sure if it’s amniotic fluid, or just a lot of clear discharge. I smelled it (gross, but it’s what dr said to do) and it didn’t smell like urine.

I don’t want to call/go to the hospital and seem paranoid if it’s not really time to go. But I also don’t want to wait TOO long and risk myself or baby. Hubby is at work and I would feel awful asking him to come home to take us to the hospital only to find out it was a false alarm 😔

I just need opinions! Anything lol.
