Sicky baby - anyone else???

Question

My 2 week old daughter throws up after feeds quite often. Not every feed, but when she does its a lot of milk it almost looks like the amount she's just drunk!

She's gaining weight well with lots of wet and dirty nappies so I know she's ok but I'm exhausted keeping up with it!

I burp her about 2 times during a bottle and sometimes she burps sometimes I'm trying for ages and nothing...

I've tried sitting her up after for a while which seems to help, but the feeds are hours long due to burping and sometimes a second bottle needed to replace her sick and when she does fall asleep with the towards the end of a feed I wake her up to burp her because I'm worried if I let her sleep without burping she'll be sick....

I'm exhausted - anyone else going through this?

My daughter is 3 months and has always been a "happy spitter." She could be eating too much the times that she spits up that much. Also, usually there is no need to give more food after. Even if it looks like everything she ate, you have to remember their tummy is still really small . As long as she is wetting enough diapers and doesn't seem too bothered by it, it's probably just more of laundry problem 😊

Thanks for the support guys! Just an update , Mila still throws up regularly but not projectile! Feeling a lot more relaxed thanks to all who commented :-) xxxx

I heard that bottle nipples hit a babys reflex to suck - so she might be over-eating because she can't help it.  I was told to take lots of breaks when giving a bottle, and follow baby's cues of hunger instead of trying to feed a certain volume of milk.
And I agree with the other advice: you don't need to bottle again after pukes - unless she is cueing & obviously hungry again.

If you are formula feeding then you might need to change formulas. Some babies little tummy's can only handle certain kind. A little spit up is normal but if it seems like a whole lot then that might be the problem.
