Anyone else’s July baby acting out lately?

My daughter (7/13/16) has always been high energy and very advanced for her age. I’m not used to her ever being “calm” but lately she is just excessively cray cray. She also seems to be acting out for attention. I feel like I have to hover over her when her friend or cousin is over. I’m due with my second baby in 3 weeks and I’m so afraid she’s going to be even worse or want to smack the baby seeking attention.

Thank you for sharing! I am in a similar place, due in August and dealing with lots of physical aggression with my son typically towards me. It can be because I tell him “no” or totally out of the blue, he will walk up to me and hit me. He LOVES “baby” and has never been aggressive towards my belly, so I don’t think it’s the impending arrival of the baby. I am praying it’s a phase. Maybe frustration due to not being able to verbally express himself? I’ve exhausted all scenarios and thoughts at this point and trying to ride it out and enforce. Wishing you luck!

My daughter has the same birthday!! She has been pretty wild, but mostly just clingy and needing lots of touch time. I have been working out the "1,2,3" method, as in counting to three and spanking if she hasn't obeyed. Mostly for come here type stuff, but she is really responding well after only a few spanks. Worth a shot!

Experiencing all of the above. The daycare teacher seems to attribute it to my LO sensing another baby is on the way (I’m due in 6 weeks).... um, i just think it’s terrible 2s! I worry too about the baby’s arrival with my daughters insane behavior

Yup! Sometimes I’m like you are totally insane little one. He is teething as well atm so don’t know if that’s a side effect / his way of dealing with the pain. We are due with second one in 8 weeks and it had never occurred to me that it might be him acting out to this, I wonder? Good luck to you both! X
