Plus size and ultrasounds?!

Is anyone plus size and gotten a belly ultrasound and seen the baby at 8 weeks?

It also depends on the machine. Older machines aren’t going to penetrate as deep as newer machines.

Yes. The first time I was pregnant I was 300 lbs and they saw just fine through belly at 8 weeks. Second time I was 215lbs and again perfectly fine at 8 weeks. I should add my sister was 140 lbs and hsd to have transvaginal at 8 weeks. It could be the tech or how your body is rather than amount of fat.

yep me 👍 had one at 6 weeks & 8 weeks was able to see the heart beat at 6 weeks also 😊

I had one at 8 weeks and 10 weeks. I'm 274. Just have a full bladder :)

No, it was too hard to see baby. I had to get a transvaginal one.

I'm 5'3 and started off at 185. I was able to see the baby adominally at 6+1 I think you'll be okay!
