What is this from and how do I fix it?

This happens occasionally when I wash clothes and I have had to throw away so many clothes because of it. Of course it’s been happening to my fiancé’s shirts lately and he is not happy about it. 
Does anyone know how this happens and any way to prevent it ?

I have this happen to t shirts as well
. Looks like grease!? I don’t get how or why!!

If you use liquid fabric softener directly on your clothes it will do that. Look on the back of the container it will tell you how to get rid of the stain.

looks like fabric softer got directly on it.  I rewash and the spots go away 🤷

This happens to me when I pour the detergent on the clothes for some reason certain shirts get stained from it. Not sure why but it’s always been the detergent for me

I get these stains all the time I usually re wash ir I change to powder detergent rather then liquid
