C section glue removal?

Has anyone else had experience removing c section glue from their incision? I’m almost 6 weeks PP and the glue has been peeling off in chunks by itself and I just want to get the rest off. 
Surely by now it’s safe to peel it off by hand right?

I just pulled mine off. I was itching so bad under it. It started to come off and it was driving me crazy.

I took a shower and washed it off,  gently.

my doctor told me to use nail polish remover.
