So me and my bf have had problems in the past but I mean what couple hasn't. Today we got into a big argument BC I felt as if I wasn't being respected as much as I should be. We ended up talking through our problems and he even cried (something he never does) & I told him everything about how I felt. Now he is an AMAZING person but sometimes I feel as if im not able to vent out my personal issues about us or if im feeling upset. We took a little apart today to give each other space to think and then I received these messages.now if u know my bf you would know that he always says he doesn't want to married at a young age so im not sure what I should do in this situation. He knows that I am a hopeless romantic so being married now and officially claiming the love of my life would be awesome! What should I do? Someone please help!

He needs to ask you in person for one and honestly it sounds like he really is only saying that because its what you want. Thats manipulation and hes doing it to keep you around. It seems like you already know what you want to do. Everyone is saying red flags and you want to argue the opposite. Thats fine because its your life. However he talks like he is under the age of 18 and sounds incredibly immature. The point is he should have never brought it up over text whether he is asking you or not. If he wanted to marry you that would have been the plan before the argument but its not. Now youve made it really clear what you want and so in order to keep you around hes going to say or do whatever. That way he talks down on HIMSELF is a way of abuse because it makes you feel crazy and overwhelmed. at the end of the day you do what you want to do. But when you ask him a question and he keeps saying silver or gold is just a way of deflecting the issue with him onto something else. Also most engagment rings arent silver or gold. they are gold and white gold because silver doesnt last a lifetime. How old is this dude? does he have a good paying job? his own home? his own car? If you knew the answer of being with him forever you wouldnt have turned to glow for advice and when its not the answer youre looking for youre feeling the need to make excuses for him. This is the beginning of a toxic relationship. Imagine what he will do to get what he wants when youre trapped in a shit marriage with kids involved. You have to think big picture

Okay so let me clear the air on him "asking me to marry him through text." He has not asked me to marry him through a text and if he had then I would never say yes. Like who would? & yes I did say I felt disrespected BC I was at the moment. We never really argue. He is the best person I've ever met in my entire life & when I say we have ups and downs I mean we have small bickerings about food or how our driving is shit. Nothing ever too serious for our relationship to be "toxic." I was posting this to get an idea of what I should say since I am not sure on what to say. He would never ever ever bring up marriage so "save our relationship." And again, I would never say yes to a man that had no balls to propose to me in person. Im just stating this so you guys have more information and it doesn't seem like he's a bad guy BC honestly he's not.
