c section?

Quick ? For mommies with twins I'm scheduled for a c section ..I was wondering do I get checked before having a c section or can I ask my ob for an ultrasound to see if baby B flipped and is no longer breech so I can deliver vaginally. If already scheduled for a c section can it than be canceled

I had an ultrasound day before scheduled c section with my singleton because his head was to the side instead of down towards the canal...my Dr wanted to see if a miracle happened and my baby decided to squeeze his head down...never happened had to get a c section because I would have never been able to get him out vaginally. I would Call your drs office and ask for an ultrasound day before :) They are not going to say no...it's money for them.

My di-di twin boys were born last January at 37 weeks. They’re 16 mo old now. My baby a was always head down and ready to go but my baby b, he was a flipper. In my hundreds of u/s throughout my pregnancy my baby b was breech, transverse and head down. He flipped in the last couple of days before delivery and was head down but my dr was nervous he’d flip again and I’d end up with an emergency csection for baby # 2. Id ask for an u/s before your scheduled section, it’s easy to change a csection to an induction is what my dr said. And if your baby b hasn’t been flipping the whole time and stayed in mostly the same position, go for your natural birth! Best of luck 💝

It would depend how far you are and providing you or babies are not in a life threatening situation then yes you can request your checked again for a chance of a vaginal delivery. It could be baby b is behind baby A and no chance of turning so hence the csection booked. Its not as bad as you anticipate honestly ive had two emergency csections. You just need more help afterwards though for few days then i was fine.
