Benedryl?!?

Hey Ladies,
   Does anyone else take, or has previously taken, Benedryl during pregnancy to help combat nausea? I am almost 5 weeks, and when I called my OB’s office to request medication to help with the nausea, mostly for nigh time, the only advice they would give me was to take a Benedryl pill once every 4 hours as needed. Has anyone else used Benedryl during pregnancy and found it to not affect their baby in any way? I figure the doctor wouldn’t steer me in the wrong direction, but I also felt there should have been other better options than Benedryl which is typically used for an allergic reaction.

I’ve taken Benadryl with both pregnancies, but not for morning sickness. For morning sickness I recommend pink stork prenatal probiotics. They worked amazingly for me - they took away my vomiting and most of my nausea. Benadryl can help you sleep, so that may be why they suggested it.

Never heard of using benedryl for that... I took zofran for morning sickness or the pregge pops

Try prehistoric pops, it’s a sucker or hard candy that should help. Also low dose vitamin B like 25 mg. I’ve never heard of Benadryl for nausea but I’m not a doctor so there’s that.
