Temperance Adelaide is here!!
Temperance Adelaide decided a fast and memorable birth is fitting for her. I had planned my third home birth with the same midwives whom have been amazing in the past. I’ve always had relatively quick labours. My last two were they wrote down 5 hours for active labour. This time I had early labour maybe starting about 7am. They were maybe 10 min apart 20 seconds long and felt like they were not doing anything. They did not get to hurt until just after noon again not feeling like they were doing anything as I was still able to drive (We had to drop off our kids and one of our vehicles at our in laws then we drove home together). When we got home I later my head on my husbands lap and stayed on my knees so my belly could hang. She was facing the wrong way and that got her in the right position I tried to sleep between contractions as I had not slept much the night before. Then I had my doula friend come for 3 thinking it was to early for her to be here but knew she would be great help she’s also a massage therapist to!). As soon as she walked in the door and they went back to back and she was born at 3:25! My water broke and she literally came out involuntarily in one go it was just her and I in the room while my husband was on the phone. 9 min later EMS arrived because the midwife was still a little way away. My midwife arrived 6 min later. It was chaos until the EMS left then I had calm again and was able to process what just happened. She was my smallest at 7lbs 20inches which I believe helped me to not tear (I did with my last two).
11 am right before dropping my kids off.
EMTs hooked me up.
The calm after the storm.
She came out so fast her little face is bruised.
Interesting thing was she was born 39+1 just like my first and both were back labour. My second was 39+6 and belly contractions.
Anyways I hope all the rest of you May mamas still waiting for your babies I hope and pray your labours and recovery go smoothly.
