Can you tell if my twins are fraternal or identical?! They obviously don't share the same sac but I've heard that doesn't necessarily mean they're fraternal. help!

If they are the same sex You won't know until after they're born & have genetic tests done. They can have separate sacs & separate placentas and still be identical. Obviously if they are boy/girl they are fraternal though

If they are di/di twins - seperate sacs - 20-30% chance they are identical.

You will not be able to tell until they are born. It's a 90% chance they are fraternal, but there is a chance they are identical. You would have to get a DNA test later on

Not all identical a share a placenta. Some identicals split really early and have 2 sacs 2 placentas

Your doctor should be able to tell. I was told at 7w 4d that mine were fraternal. Two sacs, and two placentas. 💛💚

Chances are, they're fraternal. My twin boys are in seperate sacs and have seperate placentas and they told me it's a 2-3% chance of identical twins. Although since they're both doing well in there, I'd love Identical boys running around!
