Do you know what organic means in the US?
Many people believe that organic and all natural are supposedly better for your body. However, what is defined as such varies from country to country and even state to state. In the United States, for example, organic has nothing to do with healthier food for consumption but rather signifies a higher standard of living for animals and those who maintain crops. It’s ultimately not the consumer’s fault (you) for not understanding what these words entail, but rather the producer who market their items at a higher price and gain for themselves. Next time you’re thinking about buying something organic, all-natural, or locally producing, be aware that there is more at work than just the label pasted.
