Who should I listen to?
So I just went to my wic appointment the health check or whatever. So she takes my 6 month old baby’s weight and it’s 19 pounds 3 ounces and her heights like 25 I think. So she’s asking how much I feed her.
I feed her 4-5 Bottles a day 8 ounces and she has baby food once a day but we are going to start giving her more. But really she eats anywhere from 6-8 ounces. She doesn’t always finish it. I don’t like force it down her throat 🙄
So she’s sitting there telling me that my baby has gained 9 pounds since she last saw her (which she was like almost like 1 month old) and that the minimum they should gain between then is 5 pounds and she’s gained too much. she then starts telling me that I need to stop letting her gain so much weight 🙄🙄🙄 like so you want me to restrict my child of what she wants? I don’t force feed her. I feed her when she’s hungry.
The thing is we had her 6 month checkup at the beginning of the month and she weighed 18 pounds 10 ounces. The doctor said NOTHING about her gaining too much weight. Idk I’m really annoyed. Should I listen to the person at wic or not. I feel like if it were a problem her doctor would have said something.
