big gush of liquid?? 36 weeks

so i’m 36 weeks and 3 days and about 20 minutes ago i had a big gush of something come out so i went to the bathroom and it’s just clear fluid?? and it didn’t smell like anything. nothing else has leaked out so i’m kind of doubting it being amniotic fluid but this is my first pregnancy so i have no idea and nothing to base it on. also my discharge has been whitish and not coming out in gushes like this. anyone have any ideas??

UPDATE: my water broke this morning. i’m now at the hospital in L&D;, 1 cm and 50%

well if its not pee or discharge, id deff go to the hospital and get looked at. mine came out every few steps for 2 of my pregnancies.

If it was your waters the leaking wouldn’t stop. If it’s still coming out without a smell it’s probably your waters. Sometimes it even has a pink tinge to it. I’ve had two kids this has been my experience. I remember feeling a massive pop for each of them :) Good luck

This happened to me with my first I was 39w5d and it was a one time small gush so I went into the ER at 11:00am and since I was a ftm I told them my water had broken. They put a strip to check if it was amniotic fluid and it came back positive so they admitted me. However at 5pm we came to find out my water hadn’t broken and it had only leaked in the morning. I would call L and D and explain what happened and how you’re feeling and they’ll either advice you to go in or wait.

Try laying down and then standing back up. If you get another gush it sounds like your water. I’ve also heard amniotic fluid smells a bit sweet. My water broke during labor and went everywhere, so I didn’t have this experience....

Did it go all the way through to your clothes? If so, it could be that your water broke. W my second, I didn’t have painful contractions at all before my water broke
