Bleeding 6 weeks pregnant

Is bleeding on and off in early pregnancy normal? I don't have any pain and it only lasts a few minutes then stops it's been going on for 4 days today . I have an ultrasound in 4 days so I'm not going to the hospital because in the past I have and I got charged $200 for them to tell me to wait for my ultrasound.

My last pregnancy the baby was ok but I had to terminate at 20 weeks due to birth defects.
