To get induced at 39 weeks or not ?

I still don’t know negatives and positives really just that it may hurt bc contractions . I have appt today I’m hoping they do a sweep. But I can’t sleep anymore she’s about to break my ribs. I was 1.5 cm and 50% effaced last Friday. Had some really bad neutral cramping this week hoping I’ve progressed more today for appt. I’m just ready

I past my due date and I’m still trying to get my baby to come naturally. Induction of course is more painful but if it fails can cause you to get a C section ☹️

I’d say give it another week to make that decision. Technically you’re not at your 40 weeks yet, so baby still has a bit of time left.

I had a really great experience with induction. I was induced because of low fluid levels and low estimated birth weight. The pitocin was started at 1pm and I had her at 8:19pm. I did get the epidural which was amazing but actually birthing her was a piece of cake. The pushing on your stomach and if you need stitches afterwards hurt a million times worse.

I was induced with my first at 39+5 and had a great experience I was in labor a total of 2.5 hours no pain meds super quick recovery! 
Second birth I was not induced went into labor on my own at 39 weeks exactly around 1130pm had my daughter at 1:55am same night super fast labor no pain meds super fast recovery! 
So basically I would say if you feel you want to be induced and you feel ready then go for it!
