HELP BABY WONT SLEEP IN BASSINET

My 8 day old son has decided that this whole “flat hard sleeping surface” thing is some bs 😂 his bassinet is right next to my bed. I can reach in and touch him without getting up that’s how close he is. But still. He refuses to sleep in it! He’s too much of a swaddler, last night I ended up moving to the couch because my boyfriend needed to get up for work at 6 and our baby wouldn’t stop crying. And in this move I learned that if I put him in his little sleeper rocker thing he conks out immediately. And sleeps for 6+ hours straight!! But I know they aren’t supposed to sleep in those. He does the same thing if I put him in bed with us. But again. I know we aren’t supposed to do that. I asked my pediatrician what to do and he told me to just ignore him and let him cry it out! I’m sorry but I’m not going to ignore it and let my 8 day old baby just “cry it out” so I started researching the in bed co sleepers like the “swaddle me” ones and I was just hoping someone would have some advice or experience or recommendations that could help.
