Pros/cons dating someone who is divorced

I met this guy who is recently divorced and has a 11 year old son. Has anyone ever dated or married someone that was divorced with a kid? And pros/cons or tips? I’m super open to the idea. I don’t think a divorce defines someone. I just would like to know how everyone feels about being with someone who was divorced.
