bf going out to dinner w/ another girl

My boyfriend of a little over a year went out to dinner tonight with our mutual friend and another girl who recently moved into my community. Although, I’ve heard about her I haven’t personally met her or seen her. To top this off, my bf had just said she was pretty a few days back to which that made me upset and a little insecure. He failed to notify me or ask my opinion on him eating dinner with our friend and this girl, he just went. I don’t know if I’m being crazy and over protective or if he truly did make a mistake.

P.S: there was no way they could have invited me, however, as I had made prior commitments to babysitting :)
