PCOS and potential diabetes

Have any of you ladies that have been diagnosed with PCOS, developed diabetes as well? I go for my diabetes screening next week because my doctor is almost certain that I have diabetes or borderline diabetic. any encouragement or tips, diet, healthy snacks or anything would be appreciated, I'm pretty upset about it, and beating myself up about not taking better care of my body and paying closer attention to my body's needs.
