I need advice please!

I had a very light period this cycle. Hardly anything on the pads and bright red when I wiped. It stopped on day three then started again. I had one dark red clot about the length of a finger. I took a test yesterday and got a BFN. For some reason I’m worried it was a miscarriage. My periods are just never that light! I’m just confused and looking for some input. Thanks :)
