Implant??...

I’m thinking of getting it here soon. Anything I should know beforehand? My main question is will it make me gain weight or no?

I loved it so much at first. But now I’m starting to see major hormone imbalances. I mean I have seen these since the beginning because I had very very light spotting for about three months straight soon after I got the implant. Then I had my period normally. And then I wouldn’t get it for a month and then I would get it. I never really minded that. But NOW I’m getting my period for over 14 days every month it seems to get longer. It’s really annoying. I think I’m going to switch birth controls.

It can make you gain weight but it only has the effect because it increases your appetite. If you have a healthy diet and exercise regularly like we're all suppose to, you should be fine! The main possible side effect is irregular bleeding so your periods may be unpredictable or stop all together (it stopped mine). Honestly I love my implant, it was the best method for me.
