your boyfriend / fiance added or accepted a random girl on snapchat. when you ask them if they know the name, they deny it. But when you tell them that this girl told them she's their friend on snapchat they suddenly remember!

Maybe the reason he denies is because you would flip out?? Some guys act that way just to avoid world war 3. 
If a woman is constantly giving her man a hard time and nagging, being jealous, going thru his phone, asking a million questions, I can see why the guy would just lie to avoid the conflict. 
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I agree nor I think it’s ok, I’m just trying to explain why he denied to you at first.
