ovarian cyst and pregnancy

in January I decided to start the journey of ai. I am single and 38 and I want to get pregnant now since my biological clock is ticking. I have gone to Dr./infertility clinic since then. I did all the testing that they asked me to do. I have a history of uterus polyps, got them removed. they also found ovarian cyst so for this month they put me on birth control!!! not something I am happy about, it's kind of against my goal to get pregnant. does anyone else have had similar story they want to share?
