Preferred Age Gap?

Question

What's your ideal age gap between kids?
We are thinking of having three kids, and I want two years between each...which is kind of scary now that my first is almost a year old, because I can't imagine balancing him, work and home on top of being pregnant. 😑😅

There’s a 5yr age gap between my oldest and youngest and will be nearly 4yrs between our youngest and this baby. We planned it this way as I wanted to spend as much one on one time possible with each child. My oldest just started school when youngest was born so I had many hours through the day with my youngest without my oldest having to share me and also the same for this one. My youngest just started nursery so il have 3days aweek to spend more one on one time with the new baby. My boys have a wicked bond as they love to spend time doing boys things together, but obviously once they get older the age gap will show abit more. Defo was easier for me as age gap a lot bigger so I didn’t have two in nappies or have to run around after a toddler as my oldest was more independent.

I think there are advantages and disadvantages to every age gap. We have 5 years between our 1st and 2nd ( not by choice) it was nice during my pregnancy because I could relax when needed and she was able to understand most of what was going on, she got really excited about stuff and was actually able to help when it came to picking stuff out, she was a big help when we brought baby home. We were worried about them being so far apart but they are super close and are best friends, most of the time;) we have 23 months between our 2nd and 3rd, my pregnancy was tough and much harder having to chase a toddler, especially since he didn’t really understand what was going on. It has been a fairly easy adjustment having a toddler and a newborn and my 2 year old loves his brother so much and is so good with him and we feel they will be super close as well.

We have 3 years, not exactly by choice, I wanted them closer....I will say the first few weeks were a bit crazy, but things are getting easier overall...it is super nice that the oldest is potty trained and really understands being a big brother...he also is understanding when I need to go take care of the baby...like if I am putting him to bed and the baby needs to eat...Daddy and I will switch and he doesn’t cry or throw a fit...he didn’t have any kind of regression, he actually recently unprompted started keeping his nighttime pull up dry...he also knows to wake Daddy up in the morning if he wakes up and to let Mommy sleep...my youngest is about 10 weeks, but so far I and loving the 3 year age gap

my first 2 are 14 months apart.  my second 2 are 17 months apart.  I have 3 kids under 3
