I'm planning to ask to be put on birth control. My mom told me to tell her when I'm ready but I just don't feel comfortable. Is there any way she'd find out if I ask?

Depends on the state, but most of the time, at age 14 you're considered an adult by your gyno, and thus cannot disclose your information (patient confidentiality). But, you will have to tell your mom eventually if you do decide that birth control is what you want.
