Is fishing (for sport, but also to eat) wrong?

Please help me with this question. Its something I struggle with being that my Fiance loves to fish and I'm just not sure how to act about it. My heart seriously hurts when I see fish with hooks in their faces! 😓😭 And I can't stop imagining "What if I were that fish?!"

And using techniques that are harmful to other marine animals : ie using nets rather than lines.

I think people find it more acceptable because fish don’t make noise they flap around and the gills move. You can’t feel or hear the pain or suffering. When you see an animal get it’s throat slit you hear and see and feel the pain and understand what they go through. If fish could scream and gargle there own blood people would view it differently. They aren’t capable of making emotions viewable. They can’t cry and go eyes wide and fight like a normal animal. They seem simple to kill its ‘more peaceful’ if you will. Imagine a fish showing the same signs as a normal injured or suffering animal. It dosnt “seem” painful. I don’t eat fish and I don’t condone those who do. It’s ur choice it’s just my opinion and view on why I feel people find it easier to kill their own food. Like most people wouldn’t butcher a cow themselves and see the pain and hurt and still eat it unless ur a hunter or farmer. I guess people feel less guilty with fish as it’s less messy and less tragic to our eyes. Like you can take ur 5 yr old fishing in a normal house hold not farmers or hunters, but you wouldn’t go to a farm pick ur cow or meat butcher it and let them watch it suffer and die and such because it’s traumatic it’s easier to understand pain when you feel it or see a reaction. You don’t need an adult to understand that something is in pain or hurting and feel guilty as a 5 yr old. All they can do is explain its a way of life and a normal thing. That’s why it seems like kids feel worse for the worm on the hook wiggling around although not making noise and being tossed in and out of the water, half eaten until it catches a fish you see it struggle more and try to free itself from the hook and if it succeeds it tries to wiggle away. It dosnt just die from being hooked. But you still feel like it hurts the worm. Idk if this makes any sense. No judgment plz, just my opinion.

I believe as long as you eat what you kill  then fishing and hunting are good skills to have and should be enjoyed. 
and don't kill more than you can eat.
I can't stand people who kill just for sports like fox hunting and poaching of elephants, lions, tigers and that sort of thing.

I don’t personally like fishing because I don’t want to be responsible for killing an animal, and it also seems pretty boring to be honest! But I would not really say it’s wrong... most of us eat fish.
