Is this weird?

My sister in law just informed me she bought a baby carrier for herself for my baby... I’m a little weirded out by this. Would y’all find it weird too?

There is so much that goes into this situation. Do you live close? Are you emotionally close? I think it’s actually quite nice that she went out of her way and spent her money to make sure you wouldn’t be inconvenienced should she ever be watching the baby. I mean, I thought it was weird when my mother-in-law sent me a diaper bag without asking what we wanted but at the end of the day, it’s a diaper bag and we’ll use it and it saves us money and hassle. So you can do the same. Who cares if it’s weird? If you need help with the baby, you don’t have to tote around extra gear or swap things out. I think that’s pretty cool.

Find it a little strange. My MIL doesn’t even have one. We will just have her use one of our cars if she watches our daughter and takes her out of the house.

I think it's nice. She obviously wants to help out, maybe take the baby on walks, or carry the baby for you when you're out shopping or to lunch. Since she has her own now she won't have to bug you like, "Hey could you bring the baby carrier when you come?" I think she was just trying to be helpful and considerate. I wouldn't mind if my sister in law bought one. I'd think, great! Less crap I have to lug around, lol.
